A twenty-year high school reunion in Pine City, Minnesota brings back former sweethearts and “Cutest Couple in the Class,” Peter and Kari, whose romance ended abruptly twenty years ago. After two decades of failed relationships, Peter is now haunted by guilt and the growing conviction that he threw away his one chance at happiness. As the night progresses, both Peter and Kari are led, with the help of a virtuosic Narrator, to face the consequences of choices made long ago and start back into life with newfound strength and bittersweet resolve. Nominated for a Pulitzer Prize and hailed as a “modern-day Our Town,” The Pavilion is all at once comedic, philosophic, poetic and intensely beautiful.
The Pavilion contains a small amount of adult language and is recommended for ages 13 and up.
