Gather 'round the hair dryers and eavesdrop as a gaggle of gossipy women get their hair done while gabbing about life, love, and everyone else’s business in a Louisiana beauty salon. Truvy’s motto, “There is no such thing as natural beauty,” sets the tone for an evening of comic and bittersweet banter where the women can get a touch-up of their roots and of their souls in this girlie haven away from the men folk. A beautiful tribute to friendship, community and the power of the human spirit, this critically-acclaimed play is both wonderfully funny and deeply moving.
